Starting A Vending Business – Finding Locations The Easy Way!
posted in Off-line Marketing |In you local area you can easily find locations for your vending machines. This can be achieved by implementing just a few key strategies and tactics. The truth of the matter is that really anyone can do it and get vending locations with some effort.
Many people seem to think that the way to get locations is through hiring a locator. This in my honest opinion is the wrong way to go. Locator’s will take your money and give you lousy locations in return. Plus there is a cost involved and it could easily be a few hundred dollars just to get one of your vending machines placed.
If you are planning on being in the vending business for a while then paying a locator is going to totally eat up your profits and take you longer to pay of your machines and start making money.
What you will want to do to start is make a basic “action plan” of how you want to go about building your business.
Here are a few questions to consider:
How much money do you have to start with?
If you do not have a lot of money to start with then you will most likely have to start out with cold calling and knocking on doors. This avenue of lead generation does work but it does take some considerable time and effort to make happen.
When I first started in this business 10 years ago that is what I did to get going. So it does work.
Second if you do have some money to invest in your business then you should think about equipment costs and marketing and advertising.
Marketing is your life line to your vending business. Because without it your business cannot grow.
So spending some money in your marketing campaigns would be beneficial. To start look at doing some flyer mail outs. You can get all the information you need about every business in your community from your local library.
Once armed with this information mailing out a one page sales letter, flyer or brochure will get you leads. Just make sure that your offer is good.
One thing to remember that with getting any location that timing is everything and your locations needs, problems and frustrations are what you want to focus on when trying to close the deal.
You want to be the solution to their problem. So make your marketing efforts count and offer solutions to your prospects problems. This will get you more leads and as long as you stick with it and don’t quit you can make money in vending hands down.
Just remember to take action and implement your marketing into your business, then follow up with people and close the deal. This is a great way to grow your vending machine business.
