T3 Intenet Service for Business
posted in Bricks and Mortar Business |T3 internet service has definitely come down in price over the last part of this decade.
A T3 line is a larger, faster T1. The T3 Internet line can transmit data at a rate of 43.232 Mbps. This speed is sometimes needed for large applications such as large data file transfers along with other bandwidth intensive uses such as web hosting and streaming video. The T3 is equal to about 28 T1s and is used for large business applications, campus environments and network backbones.
Unless you are running a very small business, however it is not the best for business. A T1 circuit is dedicated and is designed to be used by businesses in order to be able to run not only the data applications but also the voice applications that are necessary for business. For small businesses that have grown past a DSL connection and for most regular businesses that are not data and voice service intensive a T1 connection works perfectly.
It is also a good idea to consider future growth and potential which choosing your voice and data line. If you are just getting the minimum necessary to get by you may find yourself looking for more in the very near future. Keep in mind that new data applications as well as voice applications by nature will end up taking additional bandwidth and space. If you are worried about cost, since a T3 line is more expensive to install, you should not be. Prices have dropped and the potential business gained by having a T3 line more than makes up for the initial investment.
